Hi! We’re Amy and Kayti. We first met on a backpacking trip in Patagonia over a decade ago. Our husbands became friends, our dogs became pals, and after bouncing around different states, we both ended up in sunny Los Angeles. Then, plot twist: we tried to get pregnant in the same year and couldn’t. Well, we did, but they ended in miscarriages. Then came the confusing diagnoses, frustrating doctor appointments, and way too many late nights on Reddit.
So we started a podcast. Because why not us? We wanted a place to talk about the messy middle. Not the polished stories people tell years later, but the raw, just-left-the-doctor’s-office WTF moments we were living through in real time. That’s how FriedEggs was born.
Two seasons, thousands of listeners, seven collective rounds of IVF, and many (many) tears later, here we are. Welcome to this corner of the internet: a community for anyone navigating the shitshow that is infertility and IVF. Whether you’re public about your journey or don’t have a single person to talk to, this is the place for you.
The logistics: we publish new episodes every Friday on Spotify, Apple, and YouTube. We also send a weekly newsletter with everything from small j joys that get us through IVF, to listener stories, memes, book recs, and vacation photos—because yes, we still love a vacay, just not one “to finally get pregnant.”
