#10: Pouring one out for the Endo warriors🎗️
Plus our fave foundation & a special discount code for listeners!
Hey friends,
March is Endometriosis Awareness Month, but let’s be real—it’s not like the struggle disappears when the calendar flips. Endometriosis is a chronic disease where tissue similar to the uterine lining grows where it shouldn’t (think ovaries, fallopian tubes, even the intestines). It’s brutal. It’s underdiagnosed. And it’s not just about fertility—it's about daily pain, fatigue, and the way it can hijack an entire life.
For so many women, getting diagnosed takes years (the average is 7-10, which is infuriating). Even then, treatment options are limited, and dismissive doctors are way too common. Endo warriors deserve better—better research, better care, and way more awareness.
So even though March is ending, let’s keep talking about it. Keep advocating. Keep demanding better. If you have endo, we see you, we believe you, and we’re sending you all the love (and heating pads). 💛🎗️

When IVF Was the Only Option
“I went into IVF completely naive because I never even tried to conceive naturally... after being married for a year I decided it would be a good idea for me and my husband to do genetic testing before thinking of starting a family. I thought to myself there is no way we will match on the same condition just doing this for peace of mind. Lo and behold my results came in and my husbands a few days later and I was the one to notice that something was a match....I had to nudge my doctor to confirm the results after not hearing back for a few days. A few discussions with genetic counselors later we decided ok we'll do IVF – no big deal! I'm sure we'll get tons of eggs and embryos because as far as we know we don't have any issues conceiving...
This mindset kind of screwed me over as I faced a lot of disappointment throughout the process, especially since we had an extra drop-off step because we not only need to screen for genetically normal embryos but needed to also screen for the condition we carry. Two egg retrievals later and we had 3 embryos ready for transfer. It's also challenging coordinating IVF with other medical conditions...I am on medication for MS (never had any clinical symptoms but did show brain lesions on several MRI scans...) which meant that I could not transfer for 3 months after an infusion (which I do once a year). More waiting...finally making it to transfer...having that transfer fail completely broke me. That is when I discovered the FriedEggs podcast after seeing videos pop up on my tik tok. I listened to all the episodes and screenshot parts of the transcript to reference when I was feeling down and it was SOO helpful. It was my first time actively trying to find a resource for help with navigating all the IVF stress.”
