Also, are we all trash goblins? 🦝
Hi friends!
Somehow, it’s already May. The year feels like it’s speeding by and dragging its feet—depending on the day, the mood, and the hormone levels. This week was a big one: we recorded our first in-person episode of FriedEggs at the gorgeous 20Twenty Productions studio in Culver City. After nearly a year of recording remotely, it was surreal (and a little chaotic in the best way) to finally be in the same room, mics on, fully caffeinated. That episode drops in a few weeks, and we’re already itching to share it.
We also had our first official FriedEggs sleepover since Kayti moved to Long Beach, and summer is shaping up to be full of fun stuff: as Kayti heads into maternity leave (!!), Amy will be flying solo with some incredible guests and new content we’re really excited about.

We’re so grateful for this little corner of the internet and the thoughtful, hilarious, fiercely supportive community that’s taken root here. More soon—but for now, here’s to longer days, weirder symptoms, and remembering what month it is.
xo,
Amy & Kayti
This week, we’re asking: Is National Infertility Awareness Week more than a hashtag? We dig into what this week actually means, how it feels when brands jump on the bandwagon, and whether awareness is enough, or just the beginning.
Plus: a very important discussion on millennial beige vs. millennial green, highlights from our first-ever FriedEggs sleepover, the triumphant return of Reddit reads, and our official pitch for puppies in IVF clinics (trust us, it tracks). Listen wherever you get your podcasts. 💛

So, the CDC’s IVF team has been gutted—and yes, that includes the six-person squad that’s been tracking ART data since 1992. This isn’t just a bad headline; it’s a gut punch to anyone who’s ever relied on data to make sense of the emotional and financial chaos that is fertility treatment. The same team that tracked success rates, costs, and outcomes is now gone, leaving a massive hole in the very oversight the government claims to support.
Meanwhile, President Trump is calling himself the “fertilization president” and pledging to make IVF more affordable. But here’s the kicker: his administration is also slashing the CDC’s reproductive health divisions and laying off thousands of public health workers. So, we’re left wondering—how exactly does one champion IVF access while actively dismantling the infrastructure that supports it?
Mother’s Day is coming up, and if you’re anything like us, it brings a whole mix of feelings. We’ve had years where we smiled through it and showed up for others, and years where we stayed in bed and ignored the whole thing. Both are valid.
One small thing that’s helped us feel a little more human on hard days? Flowers. Whether it’s for your mom, a friend going through IVF, someone who’s grieving, or just for yourself, there’s something about having something fresh and beautiful nearby that softens the edges.
We love Fresh Sends because they keep it simple—no frilly extras, just a really pretty bouquet and a card that actually says something real. Sometimes that’s all someone needs to feel seen.

Loved this week's ep--if you or any listeners are interested in Advocacy--Resolve's Virtual Advocacy Day is May 20, 2025 and there is still time to sign up. This will be my second and I found it super empowering last year 🧡
