#4: Hold our calls, season 2 is here! š
plus the first ever kangaroo embryo created with IVF
Hi friendsāhappy Friday! We made it through the week. š®āšØ
Itās been rainy and overcast here in LAāmuch needed after the firesāand weāre leaning into the cozy, slow energy as we head into the weekend.
February is a strange month. Itās a welcome break after the chaos of the holidays and the month that shall not be named (how did January last that long?), but itās also not quite spring. Winter lingers, the days are still short, and for those of us navigating infertility and IVF, it can mark the quiet ache of another year settling ināone where weāre still waiting, still hoping.
But itās not all heavy. We have each other, this podcast community, and the promise of brighter days ahead. We have Valentineās Day, the Super Bowl, and all the new TV shows to binge (cue our excitement for White Lotus!). And sometimes, just getting through and finding small joys is more than enough.
So if February feels a little blah, thatās okay. Weāre here. Weāre moving forward. And soon, the spring solstice will remind usāboth literally and metaphoricallyāthat the sun always returns.
Sending you love. Youāre doing great. Treat yourself to something cozy and delicious this weekend. You deserve it. ā¤ļø

Oh, hi, future Joey! š¦ Researchers have successfully grown a kangaroo embryo outside the womb, marking a major step forward in marsupial reproductive technology. As Phys.org reports, this could deepen our understanding of embryo development and even have implications for human fertility research down the line.
Itās a reminder of how much there is to learnāand how science continues to push the boundaries of whatās possible. Weāll be keeping an eye on where this research leads!
A weekly column of stories from listeners to remind us all that weāre not alone.
Ladies,
Thank you for making this journey less lonely. We are on cycle 7 currently (I know, I never thought Iād say 7 either!) and unlike you both, I know no one who knows what this is like. Itās been a very, very long few years.
Sure, there are other podcasts but yours fill the gap of honest commentary between friends. You say the things Iām thinking constantly. Waiting rooms are really triggering for me, especially when surrounded by pregnant women. This morning I popped your podcast on and was completely distracted whilst I waited. Your honest conversations around the stop start, waiting game (read: torture) is so accurate.
So, all the way from Australia, thank you from the bottom of my heart (and very swollen ovaries). ā Jx
